What was Brian like?

My boyo Brian was a firecracker. He had the most infectious laugh. He was incredibly athletic from a very early age. His smile lit up the room. He wrote and sang his own music. Oh and he gave the most incredible hugs!

Favorite memory of Brian

Oh so many memories. He was brought up from the JV lacrosse team to the varsity team to play with his brother Sean for the high school County championship. He was put in the last minute of the game and scored a goal and did his happy dance on the field. As soon as the game ended he shouted up to me in the stands, Mom please tell me you caught my goal on video! Of course I did!

What will be missed most about Brian

Oh his smile, his texts, his songs & his amazing hugs! He wrote a song for me called “Dear Momma” which is raw, real & heartfelt. In it he thanked me for always loving him even during his darkest moments. I listen to this song often especially when my heart hurts. Just hearing his voice and his beautiful words helps my heart sing!

How will Brian like to be remembered?

I am so grateful that Brian is still loved and remembered by his family and his friends. I post on Facebook about him on certain occasions & the comments are so very uplifting. His choice to use drugs to hide his pain is in no way a reflection of the incredible son, brother, uncle, cousin & friend he was with the biggest heart! I always add the tag #yourlightwillalwaysshine to all my posts!
