What was Kale like?

Kale was smart & a logical thinker. He had a wonderful sense of humor & a contagious laugh. He was empathetic, loyal & had a big heart always wanting to help others, sometimes to his detriment. He loved his family, friends, his cats & Bama football.

Favorite memory of Kale

There are so many memories it is hard to just pick one. We loved doing things as a family from holidays, vacations & sports to playing card & board games. Kale had a great sense of humor and we had many moments of fun and laughter together. His father has special memories of he and Kale going on travel baseball trips and going to MLB spring training games in Florida. His sister has good memories of Kale coming and hanging out in her room to talk and watching cat videos together.

What will be missed most about Kale

We will miss his voice and the sound of his laugh. Seeing his face and his blue eyes. Receiving one of his great hugs when he left the house. The excitement I would feel when I knew he would be coming through the door soon. Getting text messages from him with funny cat videos. Watching Bama football games as a family on TV or in person. Watching Christmas movies and laughing at all the inside jokes we had about them. What he would have been and how I know he would have helped people..

How will Kale like to be remembered?

He would like to be remembered as a kind, caring person. He listened to people who were hurting and he could understand and empathize with them. He always wanted to help or make things better, even if it would get himself in trouble. For his love of family and tradition, and his loyalty to friends. He was a hard worker, who was competitive and took a lot of pride in his work. As a good, decent young man trying to make his way in a world that was complicated by cell phones, social media & Covid.
