What was Romel like?
Brilliant, adventurous, caring, helpful. Loving father, son, brother, uncle and friend. Awesome student, lifelong learner. Never forgot a fact. Funny. Voracious reader. Loved nature and animals. Never met a stranger.
Favorite memory of Romel
Having long talks with him about everything and nothing.
What will be missed most about Romel
His presence. His laugh. Him calling me bruh and girl. Our texts. His hugs. Him cooking weird food. Him nagging me. His OCD cleaning. Him saying, “I love you.” Everything.
How will Romel like to be remembered?
As the brilliant, caring, adventurous person he was. He was always there for his family & friends, ready to help & support. He helped people into recovery, helped them stay in recovery, talked them out of suicide, was there for them when they were in there darkest places. He would let them crash at his apartment, cook for them & listen to them. He was always up for an adventure especially if it included hiking or camping. He loved waterfalls, mushrooms & the color purple. 4.0 gpa in college.
